This summer, I finally took the plunge and visited the renowned thermal baths in Milan that I’d seen all over the internet. What makes these baths particularly famous is their viral thunder room, where it begins to rain underground, accompanied by a giant screen that simulates thunder and lightning. In this post, I’ll share everything you need to know about these thermal baths and my personal experience!
In late July this summer, I found myself in Como, and I remembered that everyone had raved about a thermal bath in Milan that I should visit. With time on my hands and no rush, I decided to explore booking an experience at QC Thermal Spa, which has locations throughout Italy.
Each venue offers a unique ambiance, typically set against stunning backdrops. The Milan location, in particular, is "Protected by the ancient Spanish walls, a few steps from Porta Romana, the QC Termemilano centre It is an art nouveau complex where elegant architecture blends with technology. A unique venue to get away from everyday stress and into a world of wellness."
Since I was trying to book this last minute in the middle of July, all the 54 euro day passes were sold out so the minimum price was 72 euros for 5 hours. The package included usage of all the rooms (saunas, baths, salt room, etc.), a bathrobe, towel and slippers. I was hesitant to spend that much but eventually decided to go for it since this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
