How Exactly I Planned My Big 3 Month Europe Trip
Plus my exact template I used to plan everything
These past 2 summers I have been doing BIG trips around Europe. I have such a travel itch that I constantly want to see and experience more. Last summer I spent around 2 months in Italy, 8 days in Greece, and 2 weeks in Turkey.
This past summer I did Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Croatia, Switzerland, Morocco, and Istanbul. It was a lot of planning and it took months to get everything together. In this post, I am going to explain EXACTLY how I planned this trip.

Keep in mind (for this past trip in 2023), I traveled with 3 different people separately so it was like 3 trips within 1 trip. So here is the step-by-step process of how I planned everything.
Step 1: I made a list of all the countries/cities I wanted to visit
It was important to break down my desired list into countries and cities since each of those required different forms of planning. I started with one friend at a time, figuring out all the places they were interested in seeing. I wrote everything in my Notion template that I created (which I will include after step 13).

Step 2: I drew out a calendar and wrote many different mockup routes that I could take.
I physically kept writing out like 20 different routes to see which one made the most sense transportation-wise. You have to account for how to get from one place to another. For example, I didn't realize how far Amsterdam and Copenhagen were from each other, so I had to book more flights than expected.
