Napoli Travel Guide
Plus all you need to know about the famous pizza restaurant from Eat Pray Love
Napoli, known as Naples to the rest of the world, is a captivating city nestled along the picturesque shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Southern Italy. It is hectic, it is chaotic, and it is full of life. With its history dating back to over 2,800 years ago, Napoli is a city rich in culture, art, and cuisine.
Napoli has been an important port city since ancient Roman times and was once the capital of the Kingdom of Naples during the Middle Ages. Today, it is known for its vibrant street markets, colorful buildings, and of course, the birthplace of pizza.
Napoli is often overlooked as a tourist destination compared to other Italian cities like Rome or Florence. However, Napoli should not be missed if you are looking for an authentic Italian experience.
I spent 5 days there last summer and a pit stop there this summer, and I have lots of thoughts and advice on this city.
Upon your arrival, you may experience a slight shock. Just outside the train station, you'll encounter a bustling scene of activity, with a diverse group of immigrants. You might feel a little unsafe, but after spending a couple of days there you will realize that's just the city. There are certain areas that are better than others, so don't be too quick to judge the city.
In this travel guide, I will go over:

So let's go over my favorite restaurants
Pizzeria Da Michele (The famous pizza restaurant featured in the movie Eat Pray Love):
AMAZING PIZZA. 5 euros and they serve a margarita and a marinara pizza. The portions are so big and the pizza is to die for.
It's a very small restaurant, you can dine inside or wait outside for pizza to go. I typically just get it to go, but you have to wait like 40 minutes, there is always a long line. Be prepared to wait whether you are dining in or taking it to go. But trust me, it's worth waiting.
