Last summer I decided to finally visit the captivating Amalfi coast and see what all the hype is about. Every influencer I've come across on social media seems to have experienced the enchantment of the Amalfi Coast, sharing breathtaking photos that could easily grace a Pinterest board.
So when I was planning my big Italy trip last summer, I squeezed in a little room to visit the iconic....Positano. I did not have many expectations, nor did I do a lot of research. All I knew was what I saw on Instagram, which frankly, was not much. So here is how I planned my Positano trip:
Disclaimer: This is my POV as a 22-year-old. I understand that this experience can be different for everyone. I am just sharing my thoughts and exactly where I went and what I did as a college student. I saved up a lot of money and worked all year before I went on my 3 month trip around Italy. I try to budget where I can, and obviously splurge when necessary.
How long did I stay and how much did I pay?
I booked 5 days in Naples and 2 nights in Positano. Let me be completely honest, it is SO DANG expensive. Positano is so small and has only so many places to stay.
It was definitely not a good idea that I booked my place last minute (2 months before). It is very hard finding places to stay because it is such a popular destination for tourists and Positano is very small.
