The Backpack and Suitcase I Brought With Me to Europe
My honest opinion- what I brought on my 3 month trip
Deciding what to bring with you to Italy can be quite a challenge. You want to ensure that whatever you bring is reliable, functional, and doesn't take up too much space.
During the past summer, I spent a considerable amount of time researching and selecting the perfect backpack and suitcase for my trip. Since I was traveling for three months across Europe (2 months in Italy), it was crucial to find options that offered ample storage capacity while being easy to carry. Allow me to share my honest review of the items I purchased and whether they were worth bringing along.
My Backpack
Firstly, let me talk about the backpack I chose this past summer. I bought it at TJ-Max for about $40. It resembled a suitcase in design, allowing me to pack it just like a small suitcase. I loved this feature.
One downside was that the zipper wouldn’t stay zipped, so many times during my trip, I would find my self struggling to make sure nothing fell out of my backpack. So in conclusion, I probably will not be taking that again.
PS: I don’t know what brand it is so I won’t link it- also I don’t recommend it.
However, the previous summer, I used a different backpack that, in my opinion, was even better. It had more zippers and a cuter appearance, but it couldn't hold as much as the other one. Here is the backpack:
I swear, summer 2022 no one had this backpack. Before my trip, I spent like 8 hours trying to find a backpack with these amenities, and in the end, I found this and it turned out great! It kind of started ripping a bit during my trip, but I blame that on the fact I was dragging it across Europe with me.
This summer I saw SOOO many Americans with this exact backpack in Europe, it’s crazy how popular it has gotten. Truthfully, I think it is worth getting- I genuinely love it.
This summer, I am planning to buy a slightly larger version of this backpack (because they have 2 sizes), which I believe will be more suitable for accommodating my belongings.
